Vacancy: Arizona Supreme Court
The Governor’s Office is currently considering the following 5 nominees for a vacancy on the Arizona Supreme Court:

Individuals and organizations may submit letters of recommendation for nominees for the Supreme Court vacancy here.
Deadline for letters of recommendation: Friday January 3, 2025.
Please note that the quality of recommendation letters, based on significant, first-hand professional and/or personal experience with a nominee, is more helpful to the Governor’s Office’s evaluation than the quantity of letters received. It is not necessary to submit multiple copies of letters of recommendation.
Due to the volume of requests and to ensure fairness to all nominees and supporters, the Governor’s Office is unable to accept meeting requests to discuss judicial nominees.
Vacancy: Navajo County Clerk of Court
The Governor's Office is accepting applications for a vacancy for the Navajo County Clerk of the Court. Pursuant to A.R.S. § 16-230, the Governor will appoint a candidate to complete the remainder of the term from February 1, 2025 until the 2026 General Election. To learn more about the Navajo County Clerk of Court's office, please visit the Clerk's website. Notice: Arizona Criminal Justice Commission
The Governor’s Office is seeking qualified applicants to serve on the Arizona Criminal Justice Commission.
The Arizona Criminal Justice Commission (ACJC) oversees critical public safety and criminal justice assistance in our state. They act as the State Administering Agency for criminal justice grants that help fund law enforcement, prosecution, and crime prevention. ACJC also monitors the implementation of criminal justice legislation and coordinates the statewide effort to improve criminal justice information and data sharing. Appointed Commissioners are granted an unparalleled opportunity to contribute to meaningful, lasting criminal justice reform.
Those qualified to serve and who are committed to uplifting public safety and ensuring a fair and effective justice system for everyone are encouraged to apply for one of ACJC’s open positions. Current members are welcome to reapply to continue their vital work. Interested individuals should apply through the standard application form. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis with initial review conducted by December 17, 2024.
Notice: Citizens Clean Elections Commission
Applications are now being accepted for the Citizens Clean Elections Commission through the standard application.
The Citizens Clean Elections Act, passed by voters in 1998, is administered by a five member, non-partisan Commission. The Commission is committed to upholding public confidence in the integrity, honesty and impartiality of the electoral system. No more than two members of the Commission shall be of the same political party and no more than two members shall be of the same county.
Notice: Vacancies on Judicial Nominating Commission
We are accepting applications for the following commissions: Coconino Judicial Nominating Commission; Commission on Appellate Court Appointments; Pima Judicial Nominating Commission; Pinal Judicial Nominating Commission. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.
Non-attorney applicants may apply using the main application and must be residents of the county of the Trial Court Appointments Commission to which they are applying, residents of Arizona for at least 5 years, and cannot hold elected or appointed office for profit. Interested attorneys must apply through the State Bar's website.
